Since June 2015, Prof. Jacob Kurian Onattu is serving as the Principal of this college. One of the senior most Principals of Kerala, Prof. Onattu was earlier the Principal of K. G. College, Pampady (2001–2008) and Baselius College, Kottayam (2008–2015). A well known speaker, he has received a lot of awards and distinctions. These include the Best Principal award both at the State and National level, the Outstanding Speaker of the year award by Kerala State Junior Chamber (twice) and Professional Excellence award instituted by the Rotary Club of Kottayam. A distinguished teacher of English, Prof. Jacob Kurian Onattu has edited several college level text books including Shakespeare’s plays. He has served on many important boards and committees such as the Executive Board of AIACHE, New Delhi and the Academic Council of Mahatma Gandhi University. Currently he is serving as a Member of the NAAC Peer Team for accrediting colleges across India. Under his able guidance, the teaching and non–teaching staff of the college strive hard to make the college a remarkable centre of higher learning.
